IS YOUR JEWELLERY WATERPROOF?
It is recommended to keep all jewellery, including 'waterproof' jewellery, away from liquids & perfume.
Waterproof jewellery is made from stainless steel & goes through a specific process called 'PVD coating'. This makes the jewellery more durable when in contact with water, however, it does not mean that the gold plating will not fade or tarnish over time, it just takes longer to fade/tarnish.
The only type of jewellery that is truly waterproof is pure gold which is expensive, however, gold-plated jewellery is an affordable alternative & as we use thick gold-plating, it means that our jewellery will last years.
IS YOUR JEWELLERY HYPO-ALLERGENIC?
The short answer is yes! Our jewellery is Hypoallergenic made from materials less likely to cause a reaction. If you have an allergy to some jewellery, most of the time it’s due to either Nickel and Copper. Brass is a copper and Zinc alloy but our stainless steel pieces do not contain Nickel, Chronium or lead which are common irritants for people who are sensitive to some jewellery. The main concern would be if the playing wore thin, your skin would be exposed to the base metal.
However, our pieces are coated using the PVD process or Gold Vermeil with 18k (the higher the karat, the lesser the risk of reaction).
